“We” watched the Super Bowl last night…..well, the 4th quarter. I can’t really explain why I did it as I’m not the football type and there was no man around who wanted to know that his ‘girl’ enjoyed the same things he does. I just did it. I was glad to see Pittsburgh lose. And, I saw some of the coolest ads. There was this ad of a black beetle zooming through the grass, taking curves fast, jumping over and around the caterpillars and other bugs-turned out it was an ad for a new VW Beetle. Loved it and now I want the car. Making me the ideal person to be swayed by Madison Ave. Ha! Go look at the ad on YouTube, it’s Fabulous.
I did not like the suggestive ad with Danica Patrick and the chick from Biggest Loser- it was sexiest and as blatant a tease as any ad can be. But… if someone was willing to pay me big bucks to show off my legs in some CFM pumps, I’d do it. I have bills to pay.
Hot weekend all the way around. Stayed in pjs half of Saturday, even got back in bed around 11 AM and finished a book! Of course this morning I’m looking at a lot of neglected work.
It seems to me that the Super Bowl is the only “holiday” we have that’s geared for men. Unless you count Father’s Day and I’m not sure that’s a holiday they really want. I even saw a guy at the store on Sat. buying little football shaped balloons! I’m wondering if I should send my ex-boyfriend a sympathy card since his team lost? Wouldn’t that be cute?
